Sternen Grill + Sternen Grill Restaurant im oberen Stock. is a lively grill-and-restaurant spot by Bellevue, located in Seefeld, Zürich. Come for the city buzz, stay for the surprisingly polished upstairs dining—friendly staff, an English menu via QR code, and food that hits the sweet spot between quick and proper.
Downstairs you can keep it simple with a takeaway sausage; upstairs it’s table service with a terrace overlooking Bellevueplatz. People rave about the “meaty” bite of the sausage, the punchy mustard, and sides like potato salad that actually taste like someone cared. If you’re hungry-hungry, go for the Zürcher-style plates—think Zürich veal strips with rösti or seasonal salads—and finish with a little grappa if you’re curious.
For Zurich restaurant standards, it feels honest: you can eat affordably with a sausage-and-salad combo, or spend more upstairs with wine and service (a full meal can land around CHF 50). Either way, you’re paying for location and consistency—not gimmicks.
Insider tip: Grab the upstairs terrace early (it’s first come, first served), and if you’re ordering sausages, don’t skip the Swiss veal sausage with that fiery mustard—then walk off the heat along the lake after.

in the last weekThis is the place to be if you like sausages ! They are delicious, and I especially love taking the currywurst with the bread. You can eat both indoors or outside on the terrace. I highly recommend.

in the last weekThey sold us food and after charging us (including the tip), they told us they were already closed. We had to leave and eat on the street. The sausage wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either, and the bread was incredibly hard! I wouldn't go back or recommend it.
