Sunset Pizza & Homemade Pasta on Lake Como

Bistrò Il Golfo – Lenno (co) is a laid-back lakeside eatery and bar located on Lenno, Italy, right by the water near Via dei Barcaioli. Come for the golden-hour view, stay because the food actually delivers—think genuinely kind, attentive service and plates that don’t feel like they’re priced for postcard tourists.

This is the kind of place where you order wood-fired pizza and instantly get why people rave about it—crisp edges, proper toppings, and that “one more slice” problem. Pasta holds its own too, especially the delicate, thin, homemade-style ravioli (spinach ricotta is a smart move). If someone in your group isn’t in an Italian mood, even the burger lands well—no drama, just solid comfort food with a sunset backdrop.

Value-wise, it hits a sweet spot: fair prices for Lake Como, quick turnaround, and a welcoming vibe (including dog-friendly seating). Compared to the overhyped lakeside spots nearby, Bistrò Il Golfo – Lenno (co) feels refreshingly straightforward.

Insider tip: Arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset, grab a table facing the lake, and split a pizza plus ravioli—two signatures, one bill. Go tonight.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!! We had lunch at this restaurant this summer, and I'm warning you, "RED ALERT!" From the food to the service and the staff, nothing is right. We ordered a salad—or rather, a few cans of corn, some canned tuna, and tasteless, unseasoned tomatoes—for an exorbitant price. The staff removed the olive oil/dressing from our table without asking and passed it to someone else. Furthermore, the wait was incredibly long considering how mediocre the dish was (and we're in Italy!!). In short, we had to wait 30 minutes to PAY, even though we were standing at the register waving and smiling. The woman asked for our table number so she could know the total of our order, but we didn't know it since we don't work there and that's the staff's job (who are paid to do it). Following that, the woman ordered us (as if I were a dog) to find our own table number if we wanted to pay. In short, NEVER go to this establishment; they have absolutely no respect for their customers.

A highly recommended restaurant. The service was very fast and the staff were very friendly. The pizzas were delicious. The hamburger was amazing. The desserts weren't homemade. The coffee was very good.
